SimpleRaider RC1

July 29th, 2009

Yeah, it’s done. Release Candidate 1 of SimpleRaider got released. Lots of new management and frond-end functions got into this release. Everyone who installed SimpleRaider before this release, has to reinstall it (delete the database tables) because two slightly minor changes had to be done in the tables.

The next version of SimpleRaider will have an “update database tables” feature. I promise.

Well, World Of Warcraft and Runes Of Magic are two preconfigured games within this package. Of course, you can simply add your own games via the management panel.

This release gets used in our own guild and seems to be stable so far.

One thing, I highly recommend to every user for their guild-wordpress installation: Simple:Press. It’s an easy to use wordpress forum plugin. The same like on this site. You can configure everything in the forum !

The next things I’ll do are some docs for theming, game plugins, management and installation. Maybe anyone will help me with these topics.

SimpleRaider BETA1 released

July 25th, 2009

After several days of coding, the first beta version of SimpleRaider is ready.

This version has all basic features. Sure there’s a lot of space to improve the plugin. But now, I need testers and maybe some contributors for the project.

Here are some features of BETA1

  • multiple games support (at present, only World Of Warcraft is in the database, more games are comming in the next release)
  • character management for your guild members
  • basic dkp management and overview
  • game plugin support for detailed information about dropped items in raids
  • DKP reset support for guilds who whish to change their DKP system
  • raid templates (e.g. create a template for Naxxramas 10 incl. dropping items, now you only have to create Naxxramas 10 raids with new starting times etc)
  • ….

It would be great to get some feedback. Either per eMail or in the forums. To download the release, please head over to the downloads section.
